Saronic Islands
What we think "beaches, history, and unique lifestyle"
The Saronic islands are part of the Aegean Sea and they are located between the peninsula of Athens and the north-eastern coasts of Peloponnese. These beautiful Greek islands are frequently visited for weekend destinations from Athens, short holidays and island hopping. As they are close to Athens, the islands of Aegina, Poros, Hydra and Spetses are worthy of visiting as they have stunning beaches, unique history and a cosmopolitan lifestyle.
These are our current selected islands:
Aegina
Aegina is one of the Saronic Islands of Greece in the Saronic Gulf, 27 km from Athens. Aegina’s long summers, mild winters make it a year-long holiday destination. You can explore antiquities, traditional tavernas, a port town with a 19th-century atmosphere, beaches, deserted Byzantine chapels.
Poros
Poros is a small Greek island-pair in the southern part of the Saronic Gulf, about 58 km south from the port of Piraeus. Poros is a gorgeously authentic Island in the Saronic Gulf with a stunning main town, rolling pine hills and clean beaches. It offers great food and even a small archaeological museum.
Hydra
Hydra is located in the Aegean Sea between the Myrtoan Sea and the Argolic Gulf.
This beautiful island is one of the only Greek islands that is free of wheeled vehicles, No cars, No scooters. Just tiny marble-cobbled lanes, donkeys, rocks and sea. Hydra has a reputation as an artist's haven, and there are plenty of galleries around.
Spetses
Spetses is a beautiful island relatively close to Athens with great history and architecture. It's an upscale affluent island. Spetses is that no private automobiles are allowed within the town limits. The most common modes of transport are walking, horse-drawn carriages, bicycles, mopeds, and motorcycles. It has a abundance of pine-cloaked hills, secluded covers and a lovely harbour lined with neo-classical buildings with a sophisticated nightlife.
Overall, the Saronic Islands offer a unique blend of scenic beauty, history, and relaxation, making them a must-visit destination in Greece.
